Bonaire is small, dry and very laid-back, and its whole coastline is a protected marine park. You can walk from the shore to the reef almost anywhere, which is why divers and snorkellers love it.
There are no big resorts and no rush. On land you’ll find flamingos on the salt pans, a national park of cactus and coves, and kite and windsurfers at Lac Bay.
