italy

la dolce vita, planned properly

Italy rewards every kind of traveller. Rome, Florence and Venice hold some of the world’s greatest art, and a good guide can get you in before the crowds.

Beyond the cities, there are the lakes of the north, the hill towns and vineyards of Tuscany and Umbria, the Amalfi Coast and the whitewashed masserie of Puglia. Sicily and Sardinia add beaches, food and a slower pace.

We usually combine one or two cities with time in the countryside or on the coast, staying in family-run palazzi, villas and grand hotels.
