malta

a small island with a big story

Malta packs an extraordinary amount of history into a small space. Valletta is a UNESCO-listed Baroque city built by the Knights of St John, and Mdina, the silent city, sits high on a hill in the centre of the island.

There are prehistoric temples older than Stonehenge, excellent diving and snorkelling, and the greener, slower island of Gozo a short ferry ride away.

With English widely spoken and a short flight from the UK, it’s an easy and rewarding break.
