Nepal is home to eight of the world’s ten highest mountains, but you don’t need to be a mountaineer to enjoy it. Lodges near Pokhara look straight at the Annapurna range, and gentle walks lead through villages and rhododendron forest.
The Kathmandu Valley has medieval squares, stupas and temples, and in the lowlands Chitwan offers rhino and tiger safaris. For something more remote, the former kingdom of Mustang lies in the rain shadow of the mountains.
A helicopter flight to see Everest is the ultimate day out.

Crystal clear skies and the best mountain views. The most popular time.
