panama

where two oceans meet

Panama is small, easy to travel and surprisingly varied. Panama City mixes a glassy skyline with Casco Viejo, a UNESCO-listed old town of restored mansions and rooftop bars, and the Panama Canal is just outside the city.

Beyond the capital there are the Guna Yala (San Blas) islands on the Caribbean coast, the laid-back archipelago of Bocas del Toro, coffee farms in the highlands around Boquete, and a Pacific coast of private islands and whale-filled waters.
