portugal

europe's western edge

Portugal is easy to love. Lisbon is a city of hills, trams and viewpoints, with Sintra’s palaces a short drive away. Porto sits at the mouth of the Douro, where terraced vineyards line the river valley.

The Alentejo is quiet and rural, with cork forests and wine estates, while the Algarve has golden cliffs and sheltered coves. The Azores and Madeira add volcanic landscapes out in the Atlantic.

It’s a short flight away, and the food, wine and welcome are wonderful.
