Explora Journeys · Caribbean & Central America this winter
Explora Journeys' newest ship, and the first in the fleet to run on LNG. Sailing the Caribbean and Central America this winter.
the hotel
Explora Journeys is the luxury ocean line from the MSC Group, and its ships feel more like a private members’ club than a cruise ship. There are no queues, no formal nights and no loud announcements, just calm spaces, very good food and a team of almost one host for every guest.
Explora III joined the fleet in August 2026. It is 19.2 metres longer than its sister ships, with the same number of guests, so there is even more room to spread out. It is also the first Explora ship with dual-fuel engines that can run on LNG and lower-carbon fuels.
This winter it sails the Caribbean and Central America, including the Panama Canal, before heading up the Pacific coast of Central and North America in spring 2027.
“Seven nights on board showed me exactly why Explora is one of our most-requested cruises: world-class dining and the largest entry-level suites at sea. When booking Explora Journeys with us, you'll receive exclusive pricing and shipboard credits, perfect for the tax-free shopping onboard.”

why we love it
With 19.5 square metres of public space for every guest, the ship rarely feels busy, even on sea days.
Itineraries include late evenings and overnight stays in port, so there is time to explore properly rather than rushing back to the ship.
Nine restaurants and dining experiences, from the Pan-Asian menu at Sakura to three new concepts: Shore Club on 11, The Chef's Table and The Cellar.
Connecting suites and large residences make it easy to travel together, and the Nautilus Club looks after children from three to seventeen.
Drinks, wifi and gratuities are included, and the atmosphere is relaxed rather than formal.
where you’ll sleep
Every suite faces the sea and has its own terrace. Almost a third of the ship is made up of penthouses and residences.
