A great safari comes down to where you go, when you go and who is guiding you. We match the season to the wildlife you most want to see, then choose small camps with guides who know every track in their area.
We plan first safaris and fifth safaris, gorilla treks and walking safaris, and we’re happy to add a few nights on a beach or in Cape Town at the end.

kind words
I cannot recommend Liv&Travel more highly! What an amazing and professional service… Everything was organised perfectly and we were upgraded in various hotels, all of which I know happened due to Liv&Travel.

meet the founder
Liv& Travel was founded by Liv, after a career with some of the world’s most respected ultra-luxury hospitality brands and travels to more than 70 countries.
We work with a small number of clients each year, so every trip gets the time, attention and first-hand knowledge it deserves.
It depends on where you go. July to October is the classic dry season in Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana and Zimbabwe, when wildlife gathers around water. January and February bring the calving season to the southern Serengeti, and the green season offers lower prices and fewer vehicles. We’ll match the month to the place.
Yes, with the right camp. Many lodges welcome children from six, some from any age, with family suites and private vehicles. Walking safaris usually have a minimum age of 12 to 16. The malaria-free reserves of South Africa’s Eastern Cape and Madikwe are popular with younger families.
Many safari areas are in malaria regions, though some South African reserves are malaria-free. Check with your GP or a travel clinic, and see TravelHealthPro for the latest advice for each country.
Usually 15 to 20kg per person, in a soft bag without wheels, including hand luggage. It varies by country and airline, and we’ll confirm your exact allowance. Most camps do laundry, so you need less than you think.
An early game drive at sunrise, brunch and a rest in the heat of the day, then out again in the afternoon until after sunset. Many camps also offer walks, boat trips or night drives.
Two or three over a week to ten days, with at least three nights in each. That gives you time to settle in and see an area properly.
Our itinerary design service, for travellers who book themselves, starts from £500 and comes off your balance if we then book the trip.
Yes. You book the Avios flights with the airline and we arrange everything else. Those flights aren’t covered by our ATOL protection, and we’ll explain what protection applies to the rest.
