A great rail journey is about the view from the window, a long lunch in the dining car and arriving somewhere new without an airport. We book the train, the right cabin and the hotels at either end, so the whole trip fits together.
We plan overnight journeys on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the Royal Scotsman and the Eastern & Oriental Express, and scenic day routes such as the Glacier Express and the Rocky Mountaineer.

kind words
I cannot recommend Liv&Travel more highly! What an amazing and professional service… Everything was organised perfectly and we were upgraded in various hotels, all of which I know happened due to Liv&Travel.

meet the founder
Liv& Travel was founded by Liv, after a career with some of the world’s most respected ultra-luxury hospitality brands and travels to more than 70 countries.
We work with a small number of clients each year, so every trip gets the time, attention and first-hand knowledge it deserves.
Twelve months is ideal, as the best cabins and suites sell first. Some trains, such as the Royal Scotsman, carry only a few dozen guests.
It depends on the train. On the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, you can’t be overdressed, and many guests wear black tie at dinner. Others are more relaxed. We’ll send a dress guide with your itinerary.
On most luxury trains, yes. On the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the original historic cabins share washrooms, while the suites have their own. We’ll explain the options.
Yes. We book the whole journey, including flights, transfers and hotels before and after.

Our itinerary design service, for travellers who book themselves, starts from £500 and comes off your balance if we then book the trip.
Yes. You book the Avios flights with the airline and we arrange everything else. Those flights aren’t covered by our ATOL protection, and we’ll explain what protection applies to the rest.
