north america
North America rewards a little planning. Distances are huge, the best lodges book early, and the difference between a good trip and a great one is often in the detail.
The USA has something for everyone: New York and California, the national parks of Utah and Wyoming, ranches in Montana and beaches in Hawaii. Alaska is for wilderness, glaciers and bears, best seen from a remote lodge or a small ship.
Canada is vast and wonderfully varied, from the Rockies and the wild coast of British Columbia to Québec’s old towns and the polar bears of Churchill.
We often pair a city with somewhere wild, and arrange self-drive routes, private guides and small-plane transfers so the journey feels easy.

It depends where. The national parks and Canada’s Rockies are best from June to September, New York and New England in spring and autumn, and Hawaii and California are good all year. Alaska’s season is short, from June to August.
It can be wonderful, particularly in California, the South West and the Rockies. We plan the route, book the hotels and give you a detailed itinerary, with drives long enough to enjoy and short enough not to tire you.
It’s one of the easiest places to travel with children, with ranches, national parks, theme parks and roomy hotel suites. We’ll suggest guides and activities for every age.
Yes. UK passport holders need an ESTA for the USA and an eTA to fly to Canada, both applied for online before travel. We’ll remind you when you book.
Coastal British Columbia and Alaska are the places to go, from lodges reached by floatplane. The best viewing is usually from late spring to early autumn.
